If you’re looking to make 500HP+ and retain responsiveness while having room to turn it up later, this is a turbo you need to know about.

The G30-900 is the most responsive turbo available to cover a horsepower range from 500HP – 700HP, let us explain.

Why is the G30-900 so popular?

While the G30 range offers smaller compressor inducer sizes than the G30-900, such as the G30-660 (54mm) and G30-770 (58mm), the G30-900 doesn’t pigeon hole you with horsepower in the way the 660 and 770 do (maxing at out at that 530 – 616 wheel horsepower). If you’re looking to make 500HP- 600HP only or are prioritising ultimate response over room to grow HP later, these smaller turbos may suit you better. But, you will have little to no room to make any more power than that (should you want more in future).

Perfect for the RB Engine! If you’re building an RB or JZ and pushing past 500HP to begin with, there’s a good chance that you may want to have some wiggle room in your turbo to turn it up in future.  If you choose a 660 or 770, the wiggle room is only up to  616 wheel horsepower. The G30-900 will balance responsiveness, with room to grow, allowing you to maintain a fast spool and power band of up to 720HP. 

TIP: Garrett horsepower ratings are calculated at crank horsepower not wheel horsepower. As an estimate, reduce ratings by 20% for wheel horsepower ratings. For the G30-900, we would recommend it’s use in up to 720 wheel horsepower applications.
