What is an Open Tip Thermocouple?
Unlike some other thermocouples that have their sensing junctions enclosed within a protective sheath, open-tip thermocouples have the sensing junction exposed directly to the environment being measured.
Open-tip thermocouples are used in applications where direct contact with the measured medium is necessary or desired. They are particularly well-suited for measuring the temperature of liquids, gases, or surfaces where a fast response time and accurate temperature reading are essential.
